Among the cockscombs, it has become a variety called "kimono" and is characterized by its bushy flower ears. The shape of the spikes looks like a chicken comb, hence the name "Celosia" ?
By the way, the scientific name seems to mean "burning" in Greek, and it certainly looks like a flame … ?
It is introduced as an October flower at the entrance of Fureai no Niwa.
