The larvae feed on living trees such as cherry, plum, and peach trees. Their distribution area is expanding and causing damage.
At Oizumi Ryokuchi, we deal with larvae by injecting a chemical into the escape hole. We also wrap adult insects in nets to prevent them from flying away. Any adult insects we find during inspections are caught and killed on the spot.
